1971 Austrian Army Zeltbahn shelter or poncho. Based on the WWII German zeltbahn. Pea camo one side and stein tarn (stone camo) the other side. Full compliment of buttons and eyelets allows the user to make a poncho or join several together to make a tent for several people. Very tightly woven gabardine type material makes it waterproof.
Triangle shape, personal camouflage pieces. Slotted in the center to be worn as a poncho with fasteners on the edges and can be attached to others to form a a larger tent/shelter. 8 x 5 feet in size, cotton material, camouflage on the front and white on the reverse, expect wear or stitching repairs.
Four "Zeltbahns" form a pyramid-shaped tent, but can also be used for a multitude of other purposes.
