Tom Krein from Arkansas is most well known for his fixed blade hunting and outdoor knives. For some time now, he has gotten more and more into folding knives, and his latest design, the Gitano, is a remarkable one. This full size folder, with its perfect ergonomics, is loosely based on the historical Mediterranean Navajas, where Krein transfers the traditional knife design into a modern, highly functional folding knife. The generously dimensioned handle allows various grip positions, to accommodate any cutting chore, and the slightly bent handle end ensures a secure grip. Despite its overall length of almost 10", the Gitano can be carried comfortably due to its minimal weight. The blade shape is also based on the Navaja blade, which is now referred to as a modified clip point blade. The contoured G-10 handle scales are smooth yet grippy, and the steel liners with the liner lock add stability. The blade steel is high perfomance 440C stainless. Includes pocket clip. Blade length: 4 1/4". Overall length: 9 3/4". Weight: 6.4 oz.
