French U.N. Operations in Korea medal was awarded to French volunteers who serve during the Korean War, the Battalion of volunteers consist of 1,051 soldiers and the members of the battalion rotated and reinforce through out the course of the war totaling to 3,421 French volunteers rotated and serve in Korea and distinguished themselves at the battles of Wonju, Chipyong-ni and Heartbreak Ridge. The casualties for the French volunteers are 262 killed in action (1 out of 13 French volunteers) and 1,008 wounded in action with the total casualties of 1,277 or almost 1/3 of the total French volunteers
The condition of the medal is good with very small sign of aging and brand new.
