The MK18 is the latest in the line of Geissele Super Modular rails and is specifically made to interface with the Arca-Swiss Quick Release System. This new handguard is based on the MK16 M-LOK Super Modular Rail, offering a small diameter and overall height creating a slim profile for competition shooters. The flat base of the MK18 features an Arca-Style 35mm wide form with a 45 degree dovetail, that allows quick mounting to an Arca-Swiss Quick Release mounting base, sliding into any position along the rail. The MK18 features Geisseles proprietary 2.25 long barrel nut that interfaces with the receiver and creates a platform that can be trusted to be straight and true the entire length of the free float rail. The 16 long MK18 is 3D precision machined using 6061-T6 Aluminum due to its strong, rigid and lightweight properties.
Utilizing Magpuls M-LOK technology at the major 3 quadrants (left, right and bottom), as well as the upper 45s gives the MK18 unprecedented modularity and ability to be customized. The MK18 Super Modular rail is finished in a durable and long lasting Type 3 Hardcoat Anodize available in either Black or Geisseles DDC finish.
This product is bundled with a low-profile Geissele Super Gas Block, a $59 value, and an installation wrench, making the Geissele SMR MK18 a high quality and value packed solution for the Arca-Swiss Quick Release system. The Geissele Super Modular Rail MK18 is compatible with AR15 pattern rifles.
