The hand-forged, full-tang blades of the swords are Damascus steel, which extend from tsubas with an ornate macaque monkey and tree design. The handles are wrapped in genuine black rayskin, which is off-set by tan-colored cord and accented with dragon menuki. Hand-lacquered, black wooden scabbards, accented with tan-colored cord-wrap, come with the swords. Both the katana and wakizashi fit securely on the Shinwa two-tiered, tabletop display stand, which is constructed of wood with a glossy black finish.
