Inspired by the best-selling Spyderco Dragonfly, the byrd Robin 2 offers cutting power that easily rivals larger, heavier knives, but in a compact, pocket-friendly size. The all-black version of this best-selling knife adds the advantages of screw-together construction and a low-profile, non-reflective black coating that is ideal for environments where light discipline is a concern.
The all-black Robin 2’s full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade includes byrd’s “Comet-shaped” hole for swift one-handed opening and a pronounced forefinger choil that makes it comfortable in hands of all sizes. It is paired with a sturdy all-stainless-steel handle, which provides a comfortable, ergonomic grip and supports the knife’s sturdy back lock mechanism. The handle’s screw-together construction ensures precise alignment and adjustment of all parts and its four-position pocket clip allows right or left-side tip-up or tip-down carry. To prevent light reflection in sensitive environments, the blade, handle, clip, and all other components of this amazingly capable knife are coated in a low-profile black oxide finish.
