New Meadlowlark2 lightweight is a mid-to-small folder with a full-flat ground black blade made from high-carbon 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The comet shaped blade hole identifies it as a byrd knife and facilitates one-hand open/close even on the fly. Above the hole, jimping dots the spine creating texture which the thumb latches onto, laying the skids on sliding and slipping while cutting and sawing. A four-way clip and a lanyard hole offer multiple carry options: tip-up/tip-down or left-right-handed or laced with a thong or cord. A David Boye Dent in the lock’s release lever allows tightly gripping the handle without unintentionally disengaging the lock
