Dating from the 15th and 16th Centuries, and possibly even earlier times, the Two Handed Great Sword has long been heralded as a legend of fierce hand-to-hand combat. Particularly prevalent in Medieval and Renaissance-era Europe, these ancient swords often weighed in at more than 20 pounds in order to effectively penetrate heavy combat armor. This highly detailed replica features heavy duty, solid stainless steel construction. Like its ancient predecessors, this sword offers a very heavy guard with dual sided rings to protect the hands from the opponent’s sword. The rings on either side of the guard prevent the opponent’s sword from sliding down the blade and striking the warrior’s hands. A deep blood groove spans a large portion of the blade, and the handle offers a secure grip and detailed pommel designed to smash anything that comes its way. At 45” in length, this replica abounds with scrupulous, historic detail.
