The Bullpup style design places the majority of the weight of the rifle towards the rear of the rifle, making it more secure on the operators shoulder. The SRU kit installed upon this rifle also features a unique pistol grip assembly. This pistol grip is placed to the right of the magazine, instead of the usual horizontal alignment of the AK pistol grip. Moving forward on the rifle you will find a integrated rail system on both the gas block as well as the forward grip. These rail systems allow the end user to add a variety of accessories such as optics, fore grips, illumination devices and even action cameras.
In addition to the variety of tactical advantages that the SRU AK Bullpup kit adds to the standard AK platform, it also improves upon the design. Namely, the selector switch allows the bolt to be locked to the rear unlike a standard AK. This provides a significant improvement in magazine manipulation as well as adding a safety feature which is typically absent from the AK platform. Moreover, none of these features would be relevant if this replica couldn't match the reliability of the standard AK-47, however it does that and more. The SRU Conversion Kit features a rugged and lightweight 3D printed design which allows for an extremely durable polymer which is also light and precisely manufactured.
