Mañju?r? is a bodhisattva associated with prajñ? in Mahayana Buddhism. In Tibetan Buddhism, he is also a yidam. His name means "Gentle Glory" in Sanskrit. Mañju?r? is also known by the fuller name of Mañju?r?kum?rabh?ta, literally "Mañju?r?, Still a Youth" or, less literally, "Prince Mañju?r?".
Scholars have identified Mañju?r? as the oldest and most significant bodhisattva in Mah?y?na literature
